Book Club Magic
There is magic in a book, a world and a mind we can connect to across as many centuries or continents as we choose. It's a private world, built between a reader and a writer who will never meet.
And yet...
We want to talk about it. To see how alike and dissimilar the book we created as we read is to the book created by a friend.
We insist on coffee or cosmopolitans. On cream cheese frosted pumpkin muffins or chocolate cake. We insist on talking of other things, at the first and at the last. And in between we expose the book world we created to the creations of our bookclub friends and something grows.
